Emma and Mathew, with no ties to Dorset, chose Chaffeymoor Grange for an intimate wedding with their 18 nearest and dearest who had travelled from many parts of the UK as well as France and Canada.
Triathlete Mathew took the guys out for a brisk walk in the morning, although to him it was just a stroll.
We can forgive Mathew for crying during the ceremony and the speeches. There's no doubting his toughness. He recently completed an Ironman Triathlon after a shoulder injury recurred during the swim. He completed the swim with one arm, the cycling unable to stand in the saddle, and then ran a marathon still nursing his arm. An incredible feat!
In typical fashion the heavens opened right after the ceremony. However Emma got out her Converse and we all ventured out to the boating lake while her brother Lee and son/Best Man Ellery took her on a soggy row around the grounds!
It really was hard to leave at the end of the day, we'd got to know everyone so well.
