Llandybie Wedding

Hannah & Guy - 25th May 2013

St. Michael's Church, Golden Grove, Carmarthenshire
Marquee at The Stables, Llandybie, Carmarthenshire

Guy's sister Kate had originally asked us to photograph her own wedding back in 2009. Unfortunately we were already booked for her date so it was especially kind of her to recommend us to Hannah and Guy for their wedding.

Hannah had put a lot of time and thought into the details of the day and they suited the garden marquee setting perfectly. This is a beautiful part of the world and we had a fantastic early morning drive through the Brecon Beacons.

Guy wore a checked tweed suit, and despite the merciless ribbing in the morning from 2 of his 3 best men (not you Stuart!), we all knew it suited him absolutely perfectly.

After some hilarious speeches, Hannah and Guy had their first dance to the dulcet tones of best man Stuart singing "Mr. Bojangles". This was the opener to some frenetic dancing before our night finished after Guy brought the house down with a fantastic set on the sax.

It's usually about here we'd show you some pictures from the actual ceremony but ...

The night before at Hannah and Guy's rehearsal, the vicar informed them that he wouldn't allow any shots at all during the ceremony and if he even heard one click, he'd stop it. Nice!

His reason being that a photographer once completely disrupted the ceremony. So of course we're tarred with the same brush which really couldn't be further from the truth.

As more and more part-time photographers flood the market, this problem can only get worse unfortunately.

"We have had a look at the photographs and they are absolutely fantastic! We can't thank you enough ... PS I can't stop looking at them. :-))) Very happy."

"It was so lovely to meet you at Guy & Hannah's wedding. When I first met Paul on the morning of the wedding, I was staggered that he knew everyone's names and the relationship that everyone had with one another when he was introducing himself. It was so personal and was really lovely that you had obviously both taken the time to do that. It meant a lot to me! And I'm sure to Guy & Hannah too. What a perfect day it was, I couldn't believe how gorgeous the weather was and how perfect everything turned out with all of Hannah's very hard work. It's only a shame that the vicar wouldn't allow the ceremony to be photographed. Thanks ever so much for trying to speak to the vicar, it's really unfortunate that some previous silly photographer has obviously been totally unprofessional and spoilt it for all couples in the future! ... Take care and thank you again!"

"I am totally blown away by how fabulous the photos are!! Wow, wow and more wow!!!! I cried (happy tears) the whole way through the slideshow. You have captured the day so beautifully and we're particularly thrilled to see that Fred features in many of the photos, obviously we're biased, but he looks so handsome! Thank you so much!"
