Maunsel House Wedding

Alexandra & Alexis - 10th December 2011

Maunsel House, North Newton, Somerset

Maunsel House has to be one of the quirkiest venues we've ever been to. Every room is adorned with owner Sir Benjamin Slade's collection of curios. The wedding party and their guests get to use the house as their own which is very trusting of him.

Alex spent her relaxing morning in one of the cottages in the grounds with the girls before heading over to The Bell Tower for her final preps. Although there was one moment when dog Alfie ate one of the fascinators but luckily it was a spare.

The first thing Crystal Palace fans Lexi and his two best men saw when they arrived at Maunsel House was a not so kind sign on the gate written by Alex's dad, a Brighton fan, Palace's biggest rivals.

The ceremony was a very emotional one. Alex and Lexi's sisters both read passages from their favourite childhood books. There wasn't a dry eye in the room!

Alex's favourite track and her choice for their first dance was "You've Got Me" from the album "Earl Thomas with Paddy Milner and the Big Sounds." Having met Paddy Milner at a wedding in 2009 we already have kind permission to use this so thank you Paddy.

"THANK YOU! Where to start?! You were such a pleasure to have around: helpful, calm and fun! We've had some lovely comments from various guests about how great you were and, on a personal level, we were both so so so delighted to have you two there to capture our day. We really hope that you both managed to enjoy yourselves, even though you were 'on the job'. We're obviously massively excited to see the photos too!! ... Very many thanks again, and all best wishes."

"We LOVE them!! We must've looked through the proof gallery about 20 times already ... and our families have had a good look too, they're brilliant, thank you so much again. In my dad's words the photos are "fan-bloody tastic" and have really captured the emotion and essence of the day beautifully. The song works wonderfully with the slide show too :) ... Have a very happy new year, and we'll be back in touch in early January ... thank you so so much again."

"Just looked through our album .... I cannot even begin to describe how much we love it! It's beautiful. So so glad we went for the supersonic option - worth every single penny! Thank you!!!"
